Here, in the former concrete silo of the Plange mill, where thousands of tonnes of grain were once stored, radiological diagnostics is now our daily bread. We have a 3 Tesla MRI scanner of the latest generation to visualise even grain-sized changes. This cutting-edge technology enables detailed images to be taken and is suitable for all MRI-related issues. In computed tomography, we also use the latest technology with a low radiation dose to answer all CT questions, including cardiological questions.


With Dr Zobel, we also offer mammography examinations with a focus on breast diagnostics, as well as sonography examinations. In addition to the radiological standards, we also offer an extensive repertoire of special examinations.

In hardly any other medical discipline are technological innovations developing as rapidly as in radiology. Imaging equipment has undergone constant development in recent years. Our team has in-depth expertise in the complex operation of MRI and CT scanners as well as the latest generation of mammography equipment, including tomosynthesis. In our radiological practice, we have a state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging scanner with 3 Tesla field strength, which is suitable for all magnetic resonance imaging issues and numerous special examinations.

In order to contribute to the best possible treatment of your patients, Dr Krämer takes the time to precisely diagnose individual issues and to prepare the findings in a comprehensible manner so that you can immediately dedicate yourself to determining therapeutic measures. Interdisciplinary cooperation and dialogue between colleagues is particularly important to us. This is why Dr Krämer is always available to you by telephone and in person. Our radiology practice works independently and is therefore not affiliated with any medical care centres, other medical groups or investors.

Die Magnetresonanztomographie (MRT) bildet die Kernkompetenz unserer Praxis. Prof. Dr. Krämer bietet ein breites Spektrum an MRT-Untersuchungen und verfügt über ein umfangreiches Repertoire an Spezialuntersuchungen. Dazu zählen unter anderem die direkte MR-Arthrographie, Hydrops-MRT des Innenohrs, MR-Phlebographie, sowie MR-Angiographie mit und ohne Kontrastmittel. Mit Frau Dr. Zobel ergänzt sich das das Kompetenzfeld um das Spektrum der Brustdiagnostik bzw. dem Brust-MRT.

Im Bereich Computertomographie (CT) bieten wir mit dem Incisive CT-Scanner Untersuchungen im Submillimeter-Bereich für genauste Auflösung und komplexe Rekonstruktionen. Das hochmoderne Gerät eignet sich für sämtliche Fragestellungen, inklusive kardiologischer Art. Darüber hinaus umfasst das Leistungsspektrum auch CT-gesteuerte Interventionen, wie zum Beispiel bildgesteuerte Rückenschmerztherapien. Alle Untersuchungen finden mit möglichst geringer Strahlendosis statt. Prof. Dr. Nils Krämer hat sechsjährige Erfahrung in der Leitung des Bereichs Strahlenschutz der Radiologie am Universitätsklinikum der RWTH Aachen und verfügt über fundierte Expertise im Schutz vor Röntgenstrahlung.

Das volldigitale Mammographiegerät ermöglicht die Anfertigung von Tomosynthesen, sogenannter „3D Mammographien“/Schnittbildmammographien. Dieses Verfahren ermöglicht eine überlagerungsfreie Darstellung von tiefer gelegenen Strukturen, und hilft vor allem bei Patientinnen mit dichtem Brustdrüsengewebe nachweislich kleinere Tumorstadien zu finden. Dabei können planare 2D Bilder aus dem 3D Datensatz berechnet werden können und so die minimal notwendige Strahlendosis weiter gesenkt werden.


Das patentierte Brustpositionierungssystem hilft, sonst schwer abbildbare, brustwandnahe Brustareale besser dazustellen. Mit einer 15-jährigen Expertise in der Bildgebenden Diagnostik, dabei 10 Jahre auf die Diagnostik der Brust spezialisiert bietet Frau Dr. Zobel viel Erfahrung in diesem Bereich.

Auch Ultraschall bzw. Sonographie-Untersuchungen bieten wir als Komplettierung der Schnittbilddiagnostik und bei Bedarf ergänzend zu individuellen diagnostischen Fragestellungen an. Dazu gehören unter anderem Sonographien der Bauchorgane, der Schilddrüse, Weichteile und Lymphknoten sowie der Brust und zugehörigen Lymphknotenstationen.

Das CT der Brust (Mamma-CT) ist eine kompressionsfreie Alternative zu Mammographie und MRT, besonders geeignet für Patienten mit Schmerz- empfindlichkeit, Klaustrophobie oder einem Herzschrittmacher. Es erzeugt hochauflösende Brustbilder, die feine Gewebestrukturen und Mikrokalk, einen potenziellen Tumorindikator, klar darstellen. Die Strahlenbelastung ist dabei vergleichbar mit der Tomosynthese.

There are 3 prerequisites for obtaining an individually accurate and therefore optimal examination result: A thorough examination, an adequate measurement time – and a high-performance device. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at 3 Tesla field strength has proven its diagnostic added value in everyday clinical practice in recent years. Compared to standard devices with 1.5 Tesla, our 3 Tesla MR system has twice as strong an MR signal for first-class image quality. To make the best possible use of its potential, the radiologist needs technological expertise in operating the sensitive device. When used correctly, the information content of the image is so detailed that the findings can then be processed particularly carefully for a precise diagnosis. In our practice, we therefore take sufficient time for each examination in order to optimally utilise the technical potential of 3 Tesla and offer you the best possible diagnostics.

Feets
The feet and ankle joints are often affected by injuries and wear and tear. Ligaments, tendons and cartilage are usually diagnosed using MRI; bony structures are visualised in detail using CT.
Knee joints
Whether due to sports injuries or signs of wear and tear: As the largest joint in the human body, the knees are frequently affected. Many small structures can impair function through changes and cause discomfort. An image with high field strength is helpful for visualising even the smallest details.
Hips
Even the smallest changes in the hip joints can be the cause of a wide range of complaints. Precise imaging of these is often essential for planning any further treatment. Here too, we offer direct MR artrography for certain questions.
Hand
As a rather small organ, the hand benefits particularly from a high field strength in MRI. The informative value of the examination can often be increased by intravenous administration of a contrast agent.
Basin / Prostata 
Multi-parametric MRI of the prostate virtually demands the high field strength of 3 Tesla in order to achieve the necessary sharpness of detail. Even with the necessary low-signal diffusion-weighted sequence types, the high field strength provides very reliable image information for the reliable diagnosis of possible tumours. Of course, the other pelvic organs can also be excellently examined using MRI or CT.
Aorta and large vessels
The large vessels of the thorax, trunk and legs can also become diseased. The decision on the necessity and type of therapy is usually dependent on the clear diagnostic imaging using MRI or CT.
Upper abdomen / liver / pancreas / intestine
The abdominal cavity can be examined in detail using MRI, CT or sonography. Depending on the issue at hand, we offer numerous techniques that can be used to obtain a very precise overview and visualise the smallest details exactly.
Heart
MRI can be used to diagnose disorders of cardiac movement or blood flow at rest and under stress. CT helps to rule out narrowing of the coronary arteries and to assess the risk of a heart attack.
Thorax / Lungs
CT is usually the method of choice for examining the lungs, whether for clarifying inflammatory changes, a pulmonary embolism or for diagnosing the spread of tumours.
Shoulder
There are numerous small structures, particularly in the joints, which can be the cause of a wide range of complaints if they change. Detailed imaging and an exact diagnosis are therefore crucial for further treatment. Joints are usually examined using MRI. In special cases, an injection of contrast medium into the joint (direct MR arthrography) may even be indicated.
Face/ neck/ cervical spine
The soft tissues of the face and neck, the temporomandibular joints and the neck vessels can be precisely imaged using MRI. However, CT can also be used to obtain valuable information, for example in the context of tumour spread diagnostics.
Head
The brain with its complex structure is usually examined using MRI. The advantages of high MRI field strength are particularly evident in the diagnosis of inflammatory changes, the clarification of circulatory disorders, non-contrast vascular imaging or the anatomically precise imaging of the smallest details.
